Texas has a little something for everyone and if you think we’re all about cowboy hats and cattle ranches, think again. From the weirdness of Austin to the big city lights of Dallas all the way out to a ranch land in Texas Hill Country, Texas holds something special for everyone.
If you’ve been on the fence about moving to Texas, let me assure you that there are plenty of great reasons to live here, but let’s just touch on 5.
#1. Texas is a Foodie’s Paradise.
We have one of the biggest fairs in the country and no matter what you like to eat, we have a restaurant, truck stop, food truck or bistro to meet your needs. We have some of the best BBQ in the country, hands down! We offer regional favorites like Texas Chili and of course, we love our “Tex-Mex”, a combination of Mexican food and our own little twist. We are considered one of the top states for craft brews and of course everything’s bigger in Texas so look out for some large burgers, mammoth drinks and colossal desserts!
#2. We have something for you.
There really IS something for everyone in Texas. Big city living to country charm. From cultural attractions to outdoor spaces, downtown glitz to back hill country farms. Tell me what you love and I’ll tell you the city or place you can find it.
#3. No income tax.
Texas is one of the few places that does not have income tax. You’ll get more money in your pocket each month stretching your dollar further. Our state also has a generally low cost of living, making that dollar go even further. That alone is a great reason to move!
#4. Great real estate market – just about everywhere.
Texas is doing great in the real estate world. Affordable homes, fantastic ranches or upscale townhouses. We have it all and Texas is one of the best states for investing in real estate. It’s one of the strongest markets in the country and actually only took a mild hit in the 2007 housing recession. We have strong population and job growth. Why wouldn’t you move here?
#5. We are one of the friendliest states in the nation.
Tired of the New York cold shoulder? You won’t find that in Texas. We are known for being one of the friendliest states in the country. A welcome “hello” every place you go; a gracious “nod” of good favor and a pleasant smile from just about everyone you meet is really our mission statement. You won’t find friendlier people anywhere else.
This of course all adds to the fact that we have amazing natural and man-made wonders like the Alamo, The Rio Grande Valley and Big Bend State park along with the Texas Wine Trail in Hill Country and the blue waters for the San Marcos River. From the beach to the hills, Texas is where it’s at.
