Common question about Tierra Linda Ranch properties:
Can I use my property for commercial use?
According to the bylaws set forth for Tierra Linda Ranch, no property may be used for commercial purposes. “None of said lots, or the improvements erected thereon, shall be used for any purpose other than a private single-family residence with the usual and customary accessory building such as, but not limited to, garage, guest cottage and servants quarters. No lot, or the improvements thereon, shall be used for any commercial purpose, except that nothing herein shall be construed to prevent an owner from rendering professional services of a purely personal nature as long as such services do not attribute to the lot any appearance of a commercial or non-residential use.”« Continue »
Airport Day 2017
The Tierra Linda Pilots’ Association will hold their annual Airport Day on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Gates open at 10:00 AM and close at 12 noon. The field will be closed to flight operations from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. The Tierra Linda Pilots will have their aircraft on display along with some resident-owned 4×4’s. Additionally, selected non-Tierra Linda pilots will land at Tierra Linda Airport and place their aircraft on display. Air Evac will also fly in with their medical evacuation helicopter for display. This year we have the Tierra Linda Volunteer Fire Department giving a demonstration of some of their firefighting equipment right after the presentation. The presentation this year is by Steve Frushour and begins at 10:30 AM.
Steve graduated from West Point and was commissioned in the Field Artillery. He served in the US, Vietnam, and Germany. In Vietnam, he served as a Forward Observer for six months and flew missions in the O-1D Birddog for six months. He graduated from Ohio State and served in the Army and Air National Guard as an orthopedic spine surgeon and Flight Surgeon. Steve flew for 7 years as a Weapons Systems Officer in the F-4 Phantom. Steve will give a presentation on the evolution of ejection seats in military fighter jets. This should be a fascinating show.
We look forward to seeing y’all at Airport Day 2017!
