It’s that time again for the Kerrville Folk Festival running May 25 through June 11 in Kerrville Texas. Since it was founded in 1972, the Kerrville folk Festival is the longest continuously running music Festival in North America. It kicks off the Thursday before Memorial Day and runs for 18 straight days and nights. There are activities for people of all ages and they focus on developing artistic expression and celebrating the art of songwriting.« Continue »
Kerr County has a few properties that are on the National Register of Historic Places and occasionally people like to live close to or around these historical places. This could be based on home values, style or just the idea of a vintage or historical place. To qualify for this registry the United States federal government must deem the site, building, structure or object worthy of preservation. The National Historic Preservation Act was established in 1966 and currently there are over 1 million properties on the register. This type of property may also qualify for tax incentives derived from the total value of expenses incurred preserving the property.

Hunt Texas is an unincorporated community located in Western Kerr County. It’s part of the Hill Country and home to many summer camps, ranches, and acreage.
