Tierra Linda Ranch is its own community located just north of Kerrville Texas off of N. Ranch Rd. 783. It is primarily accessed along Oak Valley Road right next to the Café at the Ridge. It can also be accessed along Oak Alley Road from the North along White Oak Rd. Although the community is not gated, access is only permissible by residents and guests.
The ranch itself stretches from the border of Gillespie County north to White Oak Road encompassing numerous back roads, county roads, and gravel roads.
One of the most predominant features of Tierra Linda Ranch is a large space and the access to the Tierra Linda Ranch airport. Just in on Oak Alley Road, less than a minute or two from the main highway is the airport. This private airport features 10 hangers that are available to rent or be used by area homeowners. From there, Oak Alley winds around between and along the two upper and lower Tierra Linda Linda reservoirs. All homes are set on five plus acres and if space is what you’re looking for, this ranch community is a deal.
Home prices start around $300,000 but regardless of which home or property you choose, chances are you’re going to get at least 6+ acres and possibly several outbuildings. Homes range anywhere from 1200 ft.² to over 5000 ft.² with large lots of up to 10 or 15 acres.

The horse program is run by the RAG(Riders Advisory Group)that oversee the care of over a dozen horses for the enjoyment of the homeowners and their guests. The RAG holds several trail rides weekly across the ranch. HOA fees are based on the acreage and are collected quarterly. They are approximately $42 per acre per quarter. What a deal for all these amenities.
Another excellent reason people flock toward Tierra Linda Ranch is the above average school district. These homes are within the Harper Independent School District and the Elementary, the middle school and the high school are all above average.

Are animals allowed on the owners property in this HOA? If so, are there limitations or species specific rules?

Short answer is Yes and Yes….
Long answer is Yes you are allowed to have animals on your privately owned land within Tierra Linda Ranch. And Yes, there are species restriction on the types of animals. You are allowed to have domestic pets(dogs and cats) and horses, but no other livestock(other than 4H project animals) or fowl are allowed. This is largely because you are only allowed to fence 20% of your property…this is inclusive of yard fencing and pens and such. The rest of the property is to remain “open range” in order for all the homeowners to benefit from the HOA cattle to graze across the entire ranch allowing each homeowner to receive “Ag Exemption” for the remaining 80% of their land.
